Resourcewarning
Building resource X failed / yarn failed
Also seen as: Building resource failed yarn failed running build tasks on resource webpack could not start dependency webpack
What causes it
Resources with a build step (those using webpack/yarn, like some chat and NUI resources) run a build task on first start. The 'running build tasks… it'll restart once completed' message is NORMAL. A real failure ('yarn failed') usually means the build was interrupted, blocked by antivirus/firewall, or the server has no internet to fetch packages.
How to fix it
Let the build finish on first start; if it truly fails, ensure the server can reach the internet and isn't being blocked.
- If you see 'running build tasks… will restart once completed' followed by 'Started resource', there is NO problem — it built successfully.
- Stop deleting your server cache every startup — that forces a rebuild every time.
- If the build genuinely fails, confirm the server host has internet access to download packages.
- Check antivirus/firewall isn't blocking yarn/node during the build.
- Ensure you're using current recommended artifacts.
