Resourcewarning

Building resource X failed / yarn failed

Also seen as: Building resource failed yarn failed running build tasks on resource webpack could not start dependency webpack

What causes it

Resources with a build step (those using webpack/yarn, like some chat and NUI resources) run a build task on first start. The 'running build tasks… it'll restart once completed' message is NORMAL. A real failure ('yarn failed') usually means the build was interrupted, blocked by antivirus/firewall, or the server has no internet to fetch packages.

How to fix it

Let the build finish on first start; if it truly fails, ensure the server can reach the internet and isn't being blocked.

  1. If you see 'running build tasks… will restart once completed' followed by 'Started resource', there is NO problem — it built successfully.
  2. Stop deleting your server cache every startup — that forces a rebuild every time.
  3. If the build genuinely fails, confirm the server host has internet access to download packages.
  4. Check antivirus/firewall isn't blocking yarn/node during the build.
  5. Ensure you're using current recommended artifacts.
